Ingredients
- 4 bone-in or boneless chops
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cups sliced peaches (fresh or frozen)
- 1/3 cup peach preserves
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Instructions
- Season both sides of the chops with salt and black pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sear the chops for 1–2 minutes per side until lightly golden.
- Place the seared chops into the slow cooker.
- In a bowl, mix sliced peaches, peach preserves, honey, soy sauce, garlic, and apple cider vinegar until combined.
- Pour the peach mixture evenly over the chops in the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 4–5 hours, or until the chops are tender and cooked through.
- Before serving, spoon extra glaze over the chops from the slow cooker.
Notes
- Use canned peaches in juice if fresh or frozen are unavailable.
- Add 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes for a bit of heat.
- Replace honey with brown sugar for deeper sweetness.
- Sliced onions can be added for additional flavor.
- To thicken glaze, simmer sauce separately after removing the chops.
