  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 small onion, finely grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 cup peach preserves
  • 1/4 cup peach juice
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and smoked paprika. Mix until just combined.
  3. Shape into meatballs and place on the baking sheet. Bake for 18–20 minutes until cooked through and browned.
  4. Meanwhile, combine peach preserves, peach juice, soy sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, and red pepper flakes in a saucepan. Simmer over medium heat until slightly thickened and glossy.
  5. Transfer cooked meatballs to a skillet or saucepan. Pour glaze over and simmer for 5 minutes to coat the meatballs.
  6. Serve hot as a main dish or appetizer.

Notes

  • Add ground ginger to the glaze for extra warmth.
  • Adjust red pepper flakes for desired heat level.
  • Serve with rice or roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
