Ingredients

  • Strawberry-flavored chocolate kisses, unwrapped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix in the egg, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and baking soda.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  6. Roll the dough into 1-tablespoon-sized balls. Optionally, roll them in sprinkles or sanding sugar.
  7. Place dough balls on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 8–10 minutes, until set but still soft.
  8. Remove from the oven and immediately press a strawberry kiss into the center of each cookie.
  9. Cool cookies on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
