- Jello layer:
- 2 boxes (3 oz each) black cherry flavored gelatin mix
- 2 cups boiling water
- 1 can (15 oz) crushed pineapple, undrained
- 1 can (21 oz) blueberry pie filling
- Frosting layer:
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 8 oz sour cream
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- In a 9×13-inch glass baking dish, dissolve the gelatin mix in the boiling water.
- Stir in the crushed pineapple (with juice) and blueberry pie filling until fully combined.
- Refrigerate the mixture until fully set, about 2 hours.
- Meanwhile, in a bowl, beat together cream cheese, sour cream, and sugar until smooth and creamy.
- Once the jello layer is firm, spread the cream cheese mixture evenly on top.
- Sprinkle chopped nuts on top if using. Chill until ready to serve.
Notes
- Use raspberry or cherry gelatin if black cherry is unavailable.
- Skip nuts for allergy-friendly or replace with toasted coconut for texture.
- Do not freeze as it affects gelatin texture.
