- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Spray the inside of a crockpot with non-stick cooking spray.
- Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder, and place them in the bottom of the slow cooker.
- In a bowl, whisk together barbecue sauce, Italian dressing, Worcestershire sauce, and brown sugar.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken, ensuring all pieces are well coated.
- Cover and cook on high for 2½ to 3 hours or on low for 5 to 6 hours.
- Check for doneness at the earliest time to avoid overcooking.
- Shred the chicken directly in the crockpot and stir to mix it with the sauce.
- Serve as desired or store for later use.
Notes
- Use your favorite BBQ sauce to customize flavor (sweet, smoky, or spicy).
- For a less sweet version, reduce or omit the brown sugar.
- Add chili powder or paprika for extra depth.
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
