Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, beat softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
- Gradually add sifted flour and mix until a soft dough forms.
- Shape dough into small balls or desired shapes and slightly flatten.
- Place cookies on the prepared tray with space between each.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
- Let cool on the tray for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- Do not overmix the dough to keep cookies tender.
- Use softened, not melted, butter for best texture.
- Add vanilla extract or citrus zest for extra flavor.
- Cookies firm up as they cool.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
- Freeze for up to 2 months with parchment between layers.
