- 1 teaspoon sugar
- Optional: 1 egg yolk
- Green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together water, soy sauces, ketchup, sesame oil, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and sugar. Set aside.
- Heat avocado oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
- Add chopped onion and sauté until soft, about 2 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- Add ground beef and cook, breaking it apart, allowing it to brown and crisp slightly.
- Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Return onions to the pan and mix well.
- Pour in the sauce and stir to combine.
- Simmer until sauce thickens and coats the beef evenly.
- Serve over rice, garnish with green onions, and add egg yolk if desired.
Notes
- Let beef sear undisturbed briefly for better texture.
- Add vegetables like bell peppers or broccoli for variety.
- Adjust sauce thickness with additional cornstarch slurry if needed.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
- Reheat with a splash of water to loosen sauce.
- Use gluten-free soy sauce if needed.
