Ingredients
- 2 cups water
- 1 tablespoon dried culinary lavender (or 2 teaspoons for lighter flavor)
- 1/2 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
- 1–2 black or green tea bags (optional)
- 1–2 tablespoons honey or sugar
- Ice cubes
- Optional: fresh blueberries, mint sprigs, lemon slices for garnish
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine 1 cup water, lavender, and blueberries.
- Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
- Add tea bags if using, and steep for 5–7 minutes.
- Lightly mash blueberries to release juice.
- Remove from heat and strain into a container.
- Stir in honey or sugar while warm until dissolved.
- Add the remaining 1 cup chilled water and mix.
- Refrigerate until fully chilled.
- Serve over ice and garnish as desired.
Notes
- Use culinary-grade lavender only.
- Adjust sweetness to taste.
- Do not over-steep lavender to avoid bitterness.
- Frozen blueberries work well and enhance color.
- Add lemon juice for a brighter flavor and color.
- Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
