Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup soft caramel candies
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and prepare a lined or greased 20×20 cm baking pan.
- In a bowl, mix flour, oats, brown sugar, baking soda, and salt.
- Add melted butter and mix until crumbly dough forms.
- Press half of the mixture into the pan to form a base.
- Bake for 10 minutes until lightly golden.
- In a saucepan, melt caramel candies with heavy cream over low heat until smooth.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips over baked crust.
- Pour caramel mixture over chocolate evenly.
- Crumble remaining oat mixture over the top.
- Bake for another 15–20 minutes until golden.
- Cool completely before cutting into bars.

- Allow bars to cool fully before slicing to prevent falling apart.
- Add nuts like walnuts or pecans for extra texture.
- Use dark chocolate for a richer flavor.
- Sprinkle sea salt on top for a salted caramel version.
- Store at room temperature for up to 3 days.
