Ingredients
- 2 sheets puff pastry, thawed (about 500 g total)
- 200 g mozzarella cheese, sliced or shredded
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 200°C (390°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Roll out puff pastry sheets lightly and cut into equal rectangles.
- Place mozzarella cheese on one side of each rectangle.
- Fold or roll pastry over the cheese and seal edges.
- Place pastries seam-side down on the tray.
- Whisk egg and milk, then brush over pastries.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds if desired.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes until golden and puffed.
- Brush with melted butter and cool slightly before serving.
