A quick and creative pull-apart bread made with folded tortillas, filled with gooey mozzarella, and baked with a flavorful garlic herb oil for a crispy, golden finish.

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings

Ingredients

  • 8 flour tortillas (soft taco size)
  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 12 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare an 8×8 baking dish.
  2. Fold each tortilla accordion-style and place upright in the dish, packing tightly.
  3. Gently open folds and stuff shredded mozzarella evenly throughout.
  4. In a bowl, mix olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
  5. Spoon the seasoned oil over the tortillas, ensuring it seeps into the folds.
  6. Sprinkle parmesan cheese on top if desired.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 10 minutes.
  8. Remove foil and bake another 8–10 minutes until golden and crispy.
  9. Cool slightly, then pull apart and serve.

Notes

  • Distribute cheese evenly for consistent flavor in every bite.
  • Pour oil slowly to allow it to absorb into folds.
  • Use fresh mozzarella for best melt.
  • Avoid overbaking to prevent dryness.
  • Serve warm for best texture and flavor.
