Ingredients

  • 2 cups pancake mix
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 cup finely diced apple
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup cold butter, cubed

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a donut pan.
  2. Mix pancake mix, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a bowl.
  3. In another bowl, whisk milk, egg, and melted butter.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients gently until just mixed.
  5. Fold in diced apples evenly.
  6. Fill donut pan cavities about 3/4 full.
  7. Mix flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon for topping.
  8. Cut in cold butter until crumbly.
  9. Sprinkle topping over donuts.
  10. Bake 15–18 minutes until golden and set.
  11. Cool slightly, then transfer to a rack.
