A tender and juicy beef loin glazed with a rich, sweet, and tangy orange sauce, creating a perfect balance of savory depth and citrus brightness for an elegant yet easy main dish.

  • Total Time: 1 hour 5 minutes
  • Yield: 4-6 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 kg beef loin
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup fresh orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons halal soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon grated orange zest
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  2. Pat the beef loin dry and season with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
  3. Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat and sear the beef on all sides until browned.
  4. Remove the beef and reduce heat. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
  5. Pour in orange juice, honey, soy sauce, mustard, and orange zest. Stir to combine.
  6. Return the beef to the skillet and spoon sauce over it.
  7. Transfer the skillet to the oven and roast for 40–50 minutes, basting every 15 minutes.
  8. Remove the beef and let it rest on a serving plate.
  9. Mix cornstarch with water and add to the skillet. Cook over medium heat, stirring until the sauce thickens.
  10. Slice the beef and drizzle the thickened orange glaze over the top before serving.

Notes

  • Use fresh orange juice for the best flavor.
  • Baste regularly during roasting to keep the meat juicy.
  • Let the meat rest before slicing to retain juices.
  • Adjust sweetness by reducing honey if desired.
  • Can substitute beef with lamb or chicken for variation.
  • Add chili flakes for a spicy kick.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
