A simple no-bake treat combining salty peanuts with a rich, creamy caramel-like filling for a homemade version of classic Payday candy bars.

  • Total Time: 2 hours 20 minutes
  • Yield: 12 bars

Ingredients

  • 3 cups salted peanuts
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 1/4 cups peanut butter chips
  • 2 cups mini marshmallows
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

Instructions

  1. Lightly grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and peanut butter chips, stirring until smooth.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and marshmallows until combined.
  4. Spread half of the peanuts evenly in the prepared dish.
  5. Pour the warm mixture over the peanuts and spread evenly.
  6. Sprinkle remaining peanuts on top and press gently.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until firm.
  8. Cut into bars or squares and serve.

Notes

  • Use parchment paper for easy removal.
  • Do not overheat the mixture to avoid burning.
  • Let bars sit at room temperature briefly for a softer texture.
  • Chill longer for firmer bars.
  • Can drizzle melted chocolate on top for variation.
