  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken or turkey
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup grated mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 cup fresh cilantro leaves
  • 1/2 cup fresh parsley leaves
  • 1 small green chili
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix ground chicken or turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, mozzarella, garlic, onion, parsley, salt, pepper, and paprika until combined.
  3. Form mixture into 1.5-inch meatballs and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 18–20 minutes until cooked through and lightly golden.
  5. In a blender, combine cilantro, parsley, green chili, garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Blend until smooth.
  6. Transfer cooked meatballs to a bowl and pour sauce over them.
  7. Toss gently to coat evenly.
  8. Serve hot.

Notes

  • Adjust chili amount to control spice level.
  • Do not overmix meat to keep meatballs tender.
  • Pan-fry meatballs for a crispier texture if preferred.
  • Add yogurt or cream cheese to sauce for a creamier consistency.
  • Store sauce separately for best texture when reheating.
