Ingredients
- 1 lb ground chicken or turkey
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup grated mozzarella cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1 cup fresh cilantro leaves
- 1/2 cup fresh parsley leaves
- 1 small green chili
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix ground chicken or turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, mozzarella, garlic, onion, parsley, salt, pepper, and paprika until combined.
- Form mixture into 1.5-inch meatballs and place on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 18–20 minutes until cooked through and lightly golden.
- In a blender, combine cilantro, parsley, green chili, garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Blend until smooth.
- Transfer cooked meatballs to a bowl and pour sauce over them.
- Toss gently to coat evenly.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- Adjust chili amount to control spice level.
- Do not overmix meat to keep meatballs tender.
- Pan-fry meatballs for a crispier texture if preferred.
- Add yogurt or cream cheese to sauce for a creamier consistency.
