Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Grate frozen butter into the mixture and combine until crumbly.
- In another bowl, whisk sour cream, egg, and vanilla.
- Add wet ingredients to dry and mix gently until dough forms.
- Fold in diced strawberries carefully.
- Transfer dough to a floured surface, shape into a 7-inch circle about 3/4 inch thick.
- Cut into 8 triangles and place on prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 15–17 minutes until lightly golden.
- Prepare glaze by whisking melted butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until smooth.
- Drizzle glaze over slightly cooled scones and serve.
